Cleanliness is Next to Godliness

You don’t really need to hire an expensive decorator or interior designer to have a nice home. The first and most economical way of having an attractive house that you like to show off is to maintain its cleanliness.
Cleaning your house regularly actually gives you benefits that you might be unaware of. For instance, having a clean house means that you have fewer home accidents. This is because there are a lot of things at home such as clutters or spills that can cause home-accident injuries due to falls. Another advantage is fresher air. Cleaning regularly means that you can get rid of unpleasant odors. This also means that people who live in the house would have less allergies or asthma.

Lower furnishing bills are another benefit of a clean house. This is because properly cared for carpets, upholstery, and curtains would last longer and hence; do not need to be replaced more often.

You will also be more spontaneous in inviting friends over or getting romantic the moment the mood strikes because of your confidence in your clean, welcoming environment. This means too that you are saving on restaurant bills because of your preference to eat in instead of going out.

However, although a lot of people know the benefits of a clean house, they still find it hard to accomplish because of how busy they are. However, remember that the principle to maintaining a clean house is to do little but often. Finding ten minutes every day is enough to make sure that your house is indeed next to godliness.

Tree Planting

Do you remember that small tree when you were a child? Now this tree is big and robust and provides wonderful shade for the house that you grew up in. You can have your own tree in your yard and this you can watch grow through the years. Here are some steps on how to begin.

Learn about the tree that you want to have. Find out what its mature size will be. This is so that you can avoid problems in the future such as the tree running into power lines or growing too big for its space. Also, choose a tree that does not need to be pruned every year. Too much pruning leads to stubs and these may rot and cause some vertical limbs of the tree to die. Another thing is to know what the best conditions are for the tree to grow. Determine if your tree would need a lot of moisture or not.

The next step would be to buy a tree. Buy a good, healthy tree. Check the leaves to see that you have healthy foliage. Make sure that the tree does not have chlorosis or lack vigor or new growth. The next thing to check is that the trunk should be straight and the bark unblemished. Look at the rootball carefully to see that there is no girdling rope or wire that is strangling the tree. On the other hand, if it’s in a container, shake it gently to see if it’s well-rooted.

You are now only a few steps away from planting your own tree.
